Executive Summary
Definition: ROKBOL - (rock-ball) a game of sport, played by two teams, on inline skates, with two ended ROKSTIKS, bearing a hockey blade and a lacrosse basket, in an elliptically shaped bowl with goals at both ends. In the game, players pass, catch and smash a ball at their opponent’s goal, defending their own goal. ROKBOL is full contact. The physical design of ROKBOL inspires extreme skating, grinding and aerial acrobatics.

1. ROKBOL (BOWL) BOL
ROKBOL, or BOL, is the elliptical bowl of SPORTS ROK! design and manufacture. ROKBOL is a unique ramp surrounding 360 degrees a flat, forming an ellipse of defined math and protected design. Major Axis – 100 Feet, Minor Axis – 50 Feet, with the 360 degree Perimeter Ramp, which itself is ¼ of an Ellipse (24’ – Major, 12’ – Minor). This forms a 6 Foot Deep Elliptical BOL. A 2 Foot wide flat track is offset from the Perimeter Ellipse. A grinding rail connects the flat track to the BOL.
ROKBOL TRAPS, or Goals, are 2’x 4’ elliptical ‘holes’ in the vertical wall of the extent ends of the major axis. TRAPS are hard to defend, easy to score on.
The ROKBOL is built on a ribbon of 3/16” steel suspended on tines, skinned in wood: a unique new game environment and the thinnest field in sports. The ROKBOL ramp is a quarter of an ellipse, while most skate ramps are radii. ROKBOL skaters can “surf” high on the ROKBOL ramp for extended time and stunts. A radius ramp just lets you go up then down.

2. ROKBOL GAME
ROKBOL is the sports game played exclusively in the ROKBOL, where extreme skaters wield double-ended ROKSticks: a hybrid sports stick with a lacrosse basket at one end and a hockey blade at the other. Pass, catch and smash. The ROK (ball) is illuminated.

Two ROKBOL teams of three players each wear inline skates and body armor as they work an illuminated ball toward elliptical goals. “I protect my goal, you protect yours”. Very few rules apply or restrict, and our fans will help codify them. ROKBOL is full contact, high-speed action designed to post basketball-type scores through big air acrobatics..
3. ROKBOL AEROBIC WORKOUT
Skating in the ROKBOL, while NOT engaged in the sport, is a low impact aerobic treat. It is fun and exhilarating. It’s appropriate for skaters from children through middle age, like playing tennis or a trip to the gym. Ten minutes winds a fit person. Twice-a-week participants stay fit and healthy. Membership organizations have been founded on less.

4. ROKBOL TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC
ROKBOL Sport player-participants are the 15 to 24 core youth, lifestyle sports enthusiasts. ROKBOL’s broadband participants are the Teen & Young Adult (13 –24) interactive and wired youth. A recent research project by Teenage Research Unlimited set this audience at the vanguard of a media revolution. Media Post’s Newswire Report titled Teens: More Time Online Than Watching Television tells the story. The ‘Emerging’ youth watch and “do” broadband an average of 16.7 hours a week making it the new media of choice. They only watch TV 13.6 hours, with 12 hours listening to radio, 7.7 hours on the phone, 6 hours reading books and magazines.
Online teens and young adults are empowered by choice and look for compelling broadband experiences. They also multitask online, carrying on six different “conversations” in separate windows while they “watch” their broadband program of choice.
